Pilot Project Underway!

Greetings again from Northern Iraq!  Thank you for your continued prayers as we serve the Persecuted Christians of the Nineveh Plains.  It has very much been a learning process as we try to develop and implement this program to enable displaced families whose homes have been damaged due to the ISIS occupation to return home by reducing their financial barriers.  We have been busy vetting prices with vendors and revising poorly translated documents from Arabic to English… and it has now paid off with the Pilot Project underway(I have attached a few pictures of my Assistant (Mwafaq) and I with some of the families)

We have signed agreements with 10 Beneficiaries in the City of Qaraqosh as of Thursday afternoon. The plan is to scale this up, once we get the processes cleaned up and working smoothly, so that we can accommodate many homes at the same time.

I have also been trying to help some of my friends, that work for Samaritan’s Purse and have homes in Qaraqosh, to fix their homes when I get a chance. I have attached a few pictures that were taken while helping Revan who works in the transportation department here in Erbil. He has a Masters Degree in Physiology and was teaching in the Hamdaniya University in Qaraqosh before ISIS captured the city. He is hoping to be able to move back to Qaraqosh soon.

I have also included a link to a video that Ravi Zacharias posted a few days ago that was recorded while visiting one of the churches in Qaraqosh, click this link to view… http://rzim.org/global-blog/ravis-visit-to-iraq-watch-an-update/

Thank you for your continued support in Prayer. Please pray for wisdom as we proceed and also that the Love of Christ is evident through our work!
